I am sitting at work waiting for my next class… in 4 hours. At home I have a 14 pound turkey that is waiting for me, calling me. Of all the holidays I miss, Thanksgiving is the big one. No presents must be produced, everyone gets stoned off the turkey and mumbles incoherent political statements. 

I won’t have time to finish cooking everything today. I get home too damn late from work. Guess Friday will have to do. The Norwegians don’t know what they are missing.

Strange. This video may be the answer to the last 3 or so posts I have made.

I am really trying to get in the writing mood again. I decided to post regardless of what was going on in the brain. This is leading to some interesting posts. The last one is a good example. I already have different feelings about it. 

I am really worried that McCain may take this election. I decided to visit some very red state websites to see what was going on there. I swear they, minus the typical talking points you hear daily, sound very confident. I felt like commenting and challenging many of the bullshit comments, but decided against it. If they don’t get it yet, well… you now the rest. 

What really disturbs me is all the videos I have seen from the people entering the McCain/Palin rallies. They are so ignorant. All the debunked shit still flies out of their mouths. Little do they know that they are supporting people who are not looking out for their best interests at all. 

The scariest thing is, many of them look like normal, everyday people until they open their mouths.

“When the government says, ‘We need to change things for your safety… that’s when I get worried’” Someone close to me said that. Why such a huge production for something like this? Fear? Or is it? A normal person would say, “Hey, fuck ‘em. Let them figure it out for themselves.”  

Then nothing happens.  That may be the real reason.

Well, spring is finally here. And it doesn’t take a genius to know what that means. Yep, that’s right…Robots. Sure the shiny metal ones are often helpful and kind. But then there are the evil robots made by evil scientists. They’re the ones that people are talking about. (broadband a nice thing to have for these links)

The last few days I have been attempting to clean and back-up stuff on my hard drive. I was amazed to find so much stuff I didn’t need. I also stumbled upon all kinds of videos that I have found and saved in the past year.  Here’s 4 videos (click on their picture) that have to do with advertising. Again, I recommend you have a high speed connection for these. 

     The first is an ad that was aired in Europe for a type of cigar. All I can say is, when it comes to sexuality, the Europeans are more enlightened that those in the US. The FCC would have a field day with this one.

  The second is a commercial for Starbucks. I found this advertisement to be really amusing. Having the band Survivor in it was a stroke of comedic genius. 

  The advertising industry is not known for its honesty. Well, this video goes about trying to make an honest representation of how the Ad industry works. 

   I feel great! When I first saw this video I laughed my ass off. It really took me by surprise. If only everything/anything could make us feel this way.
