4:27 am. I have been drinking tonight. It doesn’t work. Honestly.. it isn’t working.
I haven’t posted in ages. That doesn’t mean I haven’t had something to say.
I am, as I write, watching the sun rise over two beautiful humps of a mountain like thing. Norway can kick your ass if you haven’t grown up here. You get used to something and then you get to Norway. It goes from short light to lots-a-light.
The clouds look good though.. I have to admit the view is forever pleasing. Honestly, I find more reasons to live here than I don’t. As much as I bitch to the crew about winter, ‘getting out of the driveway’ shit, sheep and horse shit, I do love the fresh air and long rides listening to the podcasts. The new/used car is also making it sweeter.
I think I need to make a few burritos.

Ah, spring. We’re finally through the cruller month and past Mission Accomplished day so it’s onward and outward.
Life is sure easy. There’s really no much to do.

I’ve finally gone mac (specifically, a mac book pro). And I wont go back, brother Jones. How did I ever live without one?
Hope all is well is the land of dairy queen.

Congratulations on the Macbook Pro. As a Mac user since 84 I am pleased to see more people using Macs. You will love it.
As for the drinking… Being Polish and working hard only merits one thing. Sure, we could sleep, but then we would be ignoring our legendary thirst.

Hey, found your site by googling “An American in Norway” because I’d like to get some honest feedback about what it’s like to live there. I may just be having a bad year, but I’m strongly considering leaving the US and moving somewhere in Europe. I lived in Italy for three years, and it was very nice, but I’m not sure I want to live there again. Can you give me an honest assessment of what the worst things are about living over there? Is the winter horrible? Do people make you feel like an under-educated moron? Are you frequently on the defensive for being an American? Is the health care system REALLY all that great?
