Discopants and Haircuts

I just got the new Macbook today.  I ordered it with an English  keyboard so it took a little while. I got the teacher discount  and the rebate for the ipod nano. Truth be told I ordered the Macbook before the ipod offer (for educators and students) but called them and asked for a rebate anyway. They gave in and gave me back about $100. Not bad eh? The rebate on top of the education discount means I paid less. Simple.

So what the fsck s up?

It was the last day before fall break  (10 days Woo Hoo!) today. I decided to watch a film in my classes. The cool thing is, when I watch films with my students here, without subtitles, they get a serious ‘a learnin goin’ on’. They all wanted to watch current films. I decided that Full Metal Jacket was much better.  I blew their fucking minds wide open. Actually, they all thought it was pretty good. You could have changed the words Vietnam for Iraq and the story would have been the same. Well, except for the ‘Suckee Suckee’ parts of course.
