Purpose

Everyone has a purpose in life. Perhaps yours is watching television.
- David Letterman
As Navin R. Johnson’s mother once told him, “Everyone has a special purpose.” Apparently mine is fighting for things. I seem to have some fucking battle everyday of my life. The broadband saga lasted almost 5 months and I, sincerely, was not the same until it came into fruition today. Yes, my friends, I have achieved, albeit modest, broadband heaven here out in the house in the clouds. What I went through to get it will be chronicled in the upcoming ABC miniseries “Pants Goes to Norway” (please check your local listing for times).
The truth is that, I believe, broadband has become a necessity in our world. Some people may say I am just an internet junkie or Comic Book guy in the flesh (worst comparison ever) , but I do believe that there is some truth in what I say. I was really changed by the denial to get broadband. I mean, this house is perfect! Everything about it screams, “Stay Here! Love it! LOVE IT!” except that I could barely even check my email. That’s important considering I am chief political strategist to Barack Obama, who loves it when I call him Barack Yo’ Mamma btw.
In honor of this festive day, I post a picture I took out my window this weekend. I used a camera I bought about 5 years ago and it still turned out amazing… The picture explains the whole ‘house in the clouds analogy’ . But I must warn those of you with girlish dial-up… It’s the full size photo (roughly 736KB) which is nothing for manly broadband users like you and me… Enjoy.. it makes a great desktop photo. Don’t worry about it. You won’t be dead soon enough to make a difference. I know it didn’t work out for me or the niggers.

FWIW, my purpose these days seems to be drinking. Nevertheless, you are right - broadband is an absolute necessity and I’m glad you’ve got it back. Go Obama bin Laden! Oops! P.S. The photo is great.

Cosmo: as you know I got the broadband to finally rule the world. It’s good no one suspects… everything is going according to plan
CC: Thanks for the props on the picture. As with broadband… drinking is also a necessity..

Is the wire in that photo your DSL line strung precariously from the neighbor’s house?
