Discopants and Haircuts

I love that Norwegian Band. Madrugada is to Norway what the Tragically Hip is to Canada. Personally I prefer The Hip. Madrugada is pretty damn good though.
I have been away from home for so long that I think I have forgotten many things.

Friends, let me share one idea. If you decide to follow your heart, you will encounter good and bad. In fact, I can guarantee you will always, no matter what you do, encounter good and bad. My parents were her last week. I hadn’t seen them in over a year. We had a royal good time. It was Amanda’s Baptism, Natalie’s birthday, my Step-Father’s Birthday and Debby’s and my anniversary. It was a banner fucking week.

But, sadly, I am at a loss for what to do now that they have gone. I have realized how important family is like I never have before. Try this, leave everything in your life that you know. Live in a place where no one speaks or acts like you have ever known. Try saying something like, ‘So it goes’ or ‘Let’s move on’ or ‘What’s Up?’. No one understands. I swear, I speak like a robot now. Everything is literal, nothing is quick and everything is misinterpreted. If I had a dime for all the times I am misunderstood I would be semi-rich… still craving the ability to explain myself.
