Discopants and Haircuts

I have been sitting here with Amanda for awhile now. She’s tugging and pushing and grabbing like a baby does. She never seems to be quite comfortable with where she is. She’s got stuff to do. She’s goin’ places.

I grabbed the webcam and hit record. After we bounced around we came to this.. Isn’t she lovely?

Oh my fellow Panters! Oh how I wish to share the tales of living here in this once Viking land! This land of ice and snow! The tales of victory! The tales of woh! The tales of absolutely insane people! The tales of semi-sane-heterosexuals… living lives of quiet desperation. The weird use of the word fart(fast)! Of schlong(snake)!

Yesterday was a wonderful one. I am on a much needed vacation right now. Easter break couldn’t have come sooner. Natalie and I spent the entire day together. We took a long walk, played with her horsies, watched a Disney movie about Piglet, made comments, and laughed a lot. We discussed things like the huge amounts of dog pooh on the sides of the road now that the snow is melting. It was a day I will carry in my memories forever.

Needless to say I was not on the computer much at all. I had no desire or need to get on and check mail and read the day’s news.

Around 9:30-10 I sat down to do my daily rounds online and noticed that the internet service was not working. I walked downstairs and rapped on the door of my landlord (He shall remain anonymous.) We agreed, verbally, that part of our rent contract would be to share internet service. It was part of the deal. Well, he decided to disconnect us. Why? Without getting too technical it had to do with me using one of my old iMacs to create a wireless ‘bridge’ so I could use my PC laptop in the livingroom. Pretty simple, pretty harmless. Its range is about 20 feet.. if that. Holy hell broke loose.

He was adamant about how I compromised his network. The worst part was, I couldn’t seem to exlain to him that I hadn’t. He is not Mr Internet. I know this. I remember him telling me a few years ago how he saw a report on tv about criminals using other’s wireless service to download child pornography. That was enough for him to keep it strictly landline connections throughout the house. And that was fine with me. I respected his decision. But, with 3 weeks left before we moved out, I felt stuck. Not enough time to order service and not even worth it.. I had my skype to talk with family and friends ( use it a lot)… My websites, e-mail, looking for aparments.. all of it required a connection to this virtual world. Deb also sells her painting online.

It was a strange exchange. I have always been kind, joking and, except for one month in the last 2 years, on-time with rent. I was really shocked to see the anger in his face. I was taken aback. Not only that, but he wouldn’t budge. My apologies went nowhere. My promise to turn off the bridge went nowhere. It fired me up real quick and I really layed into him about his attitude and how little he understood about the situation. This huge ball of American-sarcastic-anger poured out of me. This ‘Listen you clueless Norwegian! You know shit.. got that?’ attitude sprang from me. It really threw me for a loop. I didn’t expect it. I didn’t expect the way he acted and really didn’t expect how I acted. I ended the conversation with a nice, firm, “Asshole!” I then marched straight to bed. I masturbated furiously… slamming my member with the door, pounding it into the dresser with my fist. Well.. not that last part..
Well, today I thought “Hmmm.. I think we need to try again.”

I knocked on the door. I apologized again. I apologized again. I bit my lip and said exactly what needed to be said. We need the service and will be very inconvenienced without it.. It went better this time…since I am posting this right now..
