Discopants and Haircuts

Remember the dumb post I had where I talked about how I felt so alienated and alone sometimes? Well wet my whistle! Today has been everything but that. I, after the first English class I taught, was surrounded by teachers.. all of whom wanted to discuss something with me. In the span of 5 minutes I had 3 teachers ask if I would join them again, in their class, in the near future. It’s a wonderful feeling when people tell you are doing a good job without actually saying it. I prefer that way versus the direct, ‘Nice job Tex!’ kind of stuff.

Back home we have 25 days to find a new apartment and are beginning to stress out. We have been actively seeking a place for three months and we have been looking for available apartments in the newspaper and internet since December. I’ll tell ya folks.. it’s slim pickins. Sure, we could have a place today if we wanted to live in a ghetto somewhere. But that ain’t gonna happen…. I hope..

So send some good energy this way. In the next months I will have to find a new place to live, a huge language exam, job interviews for teaching positions and a shit load more.. Send the magic energy this way.. Finding a nice place to live will really take some pressure off.
