Slow Change
by Dr. Pants on Mar.06, 2006, under Life and the Universe
Change comes gradually. That’s why I often don’t notice the little things that are different in the people I am around all the time..
Last night, while I was making some food, Natalie stood on the counter and talked with me. She commented on plates and bowls, vitamins and how bad knives are (they’re ‘masse ow ows!’). She also danced and explained to me how easy it would be for her to pooh in the food from where she was standing. At one point she pointed her little finger at me and exclaimed, ‘You are funny Pappa!’ I, of course, had to reciprocate and tell her that she was the funny one. It was the then I realized how much she has grown up. She’ll be three at the end of May.
I have this feeling that she is getting out of her 2 year-old-trouble-times. She asks me for things more often. She cleans up when asked more often. And she is becomming a lot more fun to be around again. Thank God. I was getting really tired.
