Yom Back
by Dr. Pants on Jun.28, 2005, under Norway
It’s interesting to be in a place where the summers are, pretty much, filled with daylight. I suppose it’s compensation for all the darkness that we get in the winter.
My new name is officially, “Honey” Natalie hears Deb say it to me all the time. It’s only fitting that now Natalie calls me that. It’s cute to be sitting on the computer, early in the morning, and hear a tiny voice say, “Honey.. Come here please.” from the other bedroom. Also Deb is no longer Mama but simply Debby.
If any of you have wondered, “Where the heck is this Pants Empire we heard about so much in the past?” Well, now that there is a summer break, I will be unveiling all kinds of new stuff… provided we get some bad weather that merits sitting inside.
I really miss the good ‘ol USA right now. Especially my friends and family back home. All my fondest memories are of summers in Buffalo.. If Deb wasn’t so pregnant I think we would have visited this summer. Christmas is a definite. It’s hard to believe it’s been almost two years.
Here’s an interesting show of all the American and coalition fatalities in Iraq. It got me thinking.
Um Yeah.

”I’m Brick Tamland . People seem to like me because I am polite and I am rarely late. I like to eat ice cream and I really enjoy a nice pair of slacks. Years later, a doctor will tell me that I have an I.Q. of 48 and am what some people call mentally retarded.”
Who doesn’t love a nice pair of pants?
I had family here for the last 7 days. It was real hard to say good-bye this morning. Then I brought Natalie, the girl-child, to a picnic/barbecue that my language school had. It was fun. We finally had a nice day. The sun was shining, the wind was minimal.. . It rained pretty much the whole time my family was here which kind of sucked. As for my brain, I am a little more relaxed. Deb and I have taken the advise of many and have really begun speaking Norwegian to each other. I have to say, I have learned a lot. There were students at this picnic that were in classes for 6 months or more. I’ve had a little over a month and I think I am doing pretty well.
So count on me posting again regularly… Maybe even later today.
