Discopants and Haircuts

I was looking around the other day and came upon a few clips from a Pilot Episode of a show called,“The Lone Gunmen” I have never seen it, but after some research I found that this show had 13 episodes and was a spinoff from the X-files. I later discovered that the show’s stars are those geeky computer guys that would help Moulder once-in-awhile. I guess the show was about foiling conspiracies.

The clips had my hair standing on end. I put them in my public share folder. Just follow the directions and download the clip . It’s labeled, “The Lone Gunman” ,2 megabytes, Windows media player required. So if you have a dial-up, you are a Neanderthal……I mean, you will have to wait longer. High speed should take under a minute. .(Also I have a copy of a Nick Drake tune. Take that too if you want)

Keep in mind, when you watch these clips, this pilot episode was broadcast on March 4th, 2001.

After watching it did you need a change of underwear?!!!I know I did……but I have a shitting problem.

I just did a little checking…You know what this is? This is a graph of the browsers people use to look at my site. (removed for space)Pretty cool eh? Maybe I am a geek…I don’t know…It is hard for me to tell. The point is this…Why is any human alive using Internet Explorer? I was actually surprised to see that there were people actually using very old versions of both IE and Netscape.. What is the deal?!! Have I not told you people to get MOZILLA? IT”S FREAKIN” FREEE!!!! Now why would I say this? It is because I care about my readers. First of all, the web has changed so much in the last year…It is continuing to change as we …speak…write…whatever…The point is this, those old browsers suck…The new ones are: 1. More secure 2. much faster(really!) 3. block pop-ups..4. work every web page there is…(the others don’t) .5. Make pages look the way their author intended them to look.

So come on people. Just download the Mozilla browser. If you don’t like it…It can easily be thrown in the trash or uninstalled. You WILL thank me…

What a nice day…

    I had a great day yesterday. Deb, Natalie and I hung out with Deb’s brother Freddy, his fiance Eira and their daughter Isabel.

It was one of the better days here in Norway. As readers of my blog know, I have had some real rough times here.

   We just sat on the deck, looking out at the mountains and   river and had a barbecue. The weather here is getting so nice. Plus it stays late until around 9 already. Then we had a few beers, and talked til late. It really lifted my spirits. I used my new Digital Video Camera to film a great deal of the day. I think I am going to convert it to DVD and send it to my family all over the US.

   Things have been tough. I am still waiting for a work visa, so the money is tight. Although I am learning some Norwegian, I still don’t understand a lot. So, many times, I feel like an outsider. Well, yesterday was not difficult…I think I deserved it..I am glad I have the sense to appreciate these times…Cheers to the gang here. Thank you for a great day.
